Anti-skid shoe covers are often made from polyethylene, which is a non-woven material. Because it’s a non-woven material, polyethylene is free of both static and lint. Since it is static-free, it does not hold on to dirt, dust, and other airborne particles. Thus, it is safe for hospitals, restaurants, warehouses, and even cleanroom environments. But polyethylene can be slick, and especially dangerous on tile or linoleum floors which are often present in these cleaner environments. Slick shoe covers are obviously not a very good idea. If you are forced to rush, carry heavy objects, or multi-task, you might find yourself slipping and having a nasty accident. That is why anti-skid covers are always a good idea to have on hand. They are relatively inexpensive and well worth the price you pay through the safety they will add to your daily work.

No-skid shoe covers have tread added to the bottom of the shoe cover. Frequently, to help maintain a clean environment, these covers are disposable. Like most disposable covers, anti-skid models come in large quantities, but they typically cost less than a penny per cover, or two pennies per pair. They grip the floor with their tread, which allows for easier walking, running, and working. These covers are excellent for hazardous environments, making them much safer through the inclusion of the safe rubber soles. Some even feature rubber studs on the side of the shoes to provide even more accident prevention. Anti-skid covers also work as real estate covers, protecting homes’ carpet and hardwood floors from traffic, while protecting potential home buyers from a nasty accident.
